I have been fascinated with all things miniature for as long as I can remember.
At the age of 12 I met an amazing woman, Jeannie Taylor, a jeweller, who inspired me to turn my fascination into something tangible. My path, clearly mapped out from then, led me to a degree in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Crafts at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, latterly part of The London Metropolitan University. I have followed my dream for over 40 years!
After graduating from Sir John Cass, I joined the prestigious London Jeweller Theo Fennell and after a year at the bench being mentored by Cartier Award winner Simon Coldicott, I ran Theo’s workshops for 10 years, covering all aspects of jewellery and silver production.
Return Home
Percy Davies in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, where I became an established jewellery designer and Goldsmith. A takeover by The Cotswold Fine Jewellery Group in 2017 meant some significant changes, I’m now Consultant Designer and Goldsmith in their Beaconsfield branch. Bakers Fine Jewellery.
I became a Fellow of The Instituteof Professional Goldsmiths in 2008, Vice Chair in 2023 and Chair in 2024.
